| Is it not worthwhile to try to get the rules changed here for docked dogs? Do they make a lot of money at the gate? I haven't been around during the shows since I've lived here, so have no knowledge of the show at all.

| As I go every year, I can tell you that there are a lot of the public who do go to watch so I doubt it would be changed.

No, all the entries are roughly what they were last year for each show & I don't recall Windsor ever having big entries. Last years entry was 77.

| There was one notable year, 2002, R. James judging with an entry of about 50 dogs where it was all over by 11.30 and I can remember having to rush to the carpark entrance to waylay Joan Lawrence and get her and dog out of car so she would make her class. There were a lot of annoyed bitch owners that day who turned up after 11 am expecting to be in time.

Windsor has chosen to 'redo' the major roundabout on entry to the town off the bypass that you take from the M4 - a major project that will run until Feb 2011. The majority of work is taking place at night at the moment, but I've heard that weekends will be the exception to this. So, I'm guessing that the traffic could be heavy on Sunday, what with the show, the works, and legoland. If I were coming from the M25 I'd do a sneaky exit off the M4 at Datchet (the exit before windsor, at the Honda HQ) and follow the signs for Windsor from there... it'll take you to the showground the back way, which means you'll be turning right into the ground, not left (no longer, and deffo quicker), and I'm guessing you'll beat all of the traffic. I don't know if it's usually problematic, traffic wise, but this will deffo help. Worth considering! It's my route home from LHR now, so comes highly recommended

Thanks for the heads up Emer, I was slightly concerned as it does say in the paperwork that parts of Windsor will be closed to the traffic during the show period and to allow extra time so we will take your advice:)))
